Introduction to Self-Publishing

Course Description: 
Great, you’ve completed your manuscript. Now what? During this course, we will cover the difference between traditional publishing versus self-publishing and what route is best for your book project. You will learn about Amazon Createspace, the most popular self-publishing platform, how to prepare your manuscript for electronic publication on e-readers (Kindle), and how to outsource your books design and editing needs. Lastly, we will discuss how to maximize your royalty checks and how to make the most of your finish product!

Class One: Brief Overview to Self-publishing - Traditional vs Self-Publishing

Class Two: Intro to Amazon Createspace

Class Three: Intro to KDP Select (Kindle)

Class Four: Design & Outsourcing - How to outsource your front and back cover design and editing.

Class Five: Everything Else - manuscript upload, ISBN Number assignment, buying in bulk, AND of course ROYALTIES.
