I believe the writer will write what is important to him or her – nothing more.
I write for people who are curious about life, spirituality, and religion. I write for people who have questions about the world around them and the world within them. I write for the seekers, for people that believe there is something bigger than themselves.
I write for people like me, Christians, who believe the world needs more love, more clarity of mission and purpose, more joy, peace, humility, and of all, grace.
I write to understand the world around me, the human condition our desire to connect and disconnect, our attachment to money and power, our contradictions.
Writing is hard. I continue to do it because life is hard, marriage is hard, friendships are hard, standing your ground is hard, but it's work that needs to be done.
I write because after living in the fancy highrise condo, owning the perfect dog, and at one point making more money than I needed this practice feeds my soul. Faith and writing saved me from myself and set me on a path to free others as I have been freed.
